I can't believe how much comfort I take in this journal being here... for when there is something gnawing at me me and it feels as though writing it down (or saying it out loud, as the case may be here) might help, even if just a little.

I wonder if Mom knows, deep down in her heart somewhere, that on Mother's Day at 2am, her two offspring Facebook chat. About serious family stuff for approximately 2 minutes, then Mr. Show for another 37 minutes or so.
This was the final thing he said to me. Not...goodbye.

Writer's Block: True Crime
I don't have writer's block. At all. I'm halfway through a personal frickin' memoir at this point in my head. Not even two weeks in the insanest 'new job' 'first job' ever, and I could seriously pitch the comedic, yet touching "Tales of a 26-year-old Marketing Director" or "Grad School to Life School!" or "My Boss...a Tragi-Comedy."

When I was a little kid, I liked to play pretend.
