fic recap
Ten days into January. Ten days of rh_intercomm. 40+ fics from 15 authors. It is fabulous reading all the RH fic and seeing writers contribute. I wasn't certain how successful the idea of a fic comm challenge would be, but it is going great! But...
What surprises me though are some of the missing RH authors I would expect to turn up. There appear to be 30-40 authors who have contributed to RH fic in the last 2-3 months beyond those writing Guy/Marian fic. (And if you read the Intercomm rules, you'll understand why I haven't counted the G/M shippers.) Okay... there are still 20 days remaining in the challenge so perhaps more will contribute. I don't know why I should be surprised we haven't seen more authors yet - I can't say that I usually can turn out fic in short order. There are weeks when I feel lucky if I manage to committ 300 words to paper. What I am surprised at is that I have actually written 3000+ words in the last 10 days. Okay, a couple of those were started a couple of days before Intercomm opened but still... 3000 words for me in that time period is like... whoa! Thank you to everyone for the inspiration! Now... if only I could make that kind of progress on my original fiction - I only churned out 400 words of that during the same 10 days. Okay... get to work!!
