Oh, hey, Children's Book World! That's an excellent bookstore, by the way. It's where I discovered Gerald Morris' Gawain books. Also where I first realized that there was a reprint of Lloyd Alexander's Westmark trilogy, which deserves to not be out of print.

And what an excellent review!

Congrats on the great review. Melissa will probably explain this better than I will---Booksense is an organization of independent booksellers; they take out ads and promote books recommended by the bookstore staffs or customers, frequently quality work from smaller houses or things that don't fit the formula-bestseller mode. Getting a recommendation is, in the immortal words of M. Stewart, a Good Thing.

well, being woefully behind (Dragonhaven is aboard ship right now on its way to me - finally! - but I have no idea if it's going to get here next month or later) I think it's safe for me to say that sadly I won't be able to read Chalice in September... no wait! I just remembered that my choir is going to the states in October! yay! (I thought I was going to have to wait more than a year for this).

but yay!

Okay, now I'm just rolling around on the floor in angst and jealousy. I have to keep reminding myself that Delayed Gratification Is A Good Thing. 175 days...

SOME authors really know how to tease their readers: anonymous March 26 2008, 12:02:12 UTC
They post the first 4-5 chapters of a new oeuvre online.

Gee, if only my favorite author could do that...
Pretty please with high-quality chocolate on top?

In any case, congrats, and I will buy my copy in Sept.
