Yesterday, I went to the radiologist to have a barium swallow test. I had to swallow about a quart of the stuff while the guy in charge x-rayed my esophagus. I sometimes have food get stuck in my esophagus (mid-chest), so Dr. Luteyn thought that I should have the test done. I probably just have a wonky food tube, but best to be sure

Yuck!!! So, how long do we wait for tne Barium Swallow results? Your daddy had this test about two years ago. They are right: DRINK FLUIDS!!!!! I will not go into details as to what will happen if you don't.

Barium is no fun either way they run it through you. I hope your results show nothing wrong, maybe something silly like "chew your food more" or "don't eat lying down". Of course I'm projecting. Theo had to Heimlich me once because I was eating chicken in a supine position. (I know, some of you are asking, "why did he do that?"
