It is very windy out there. The fir trees in our back yard are swaying ominously. Damn, Nature, you scary!
The Weather Channel's website says we are have gusts up to 36 miles per hour. And I've committed myself to walking it that at 9:00. But hey--only a 90 percent chance of precipitation today! -

I just finished a half hour walk. The weather is sunny but cold. There is a new park on Cain Rd and I decided to take a look at it. It took about 10 minutes to walk there. There's not much. It is small and has a grassy area to play on, four swings, two picnic tables, a loop trail and a big wood swing that seats about four. The trail is short ( Read more... ) -

Thursday afternoon, Alex came home from school so angry with me that he was in tears. Because Friday was an in-service day for the teachers, Alex's homework was due on Thursday instead of Friday. Rachel phoned this morning. She was in a four car pile up near Puyallup. She is okay, but her car is "smooshed". The driver in the back (that caused the accident) drove away.
CHord has left to go pick her up and help her with her car. I told him to be careful. There is a hit-and-run driver on the loose up there... -
Big windstorm
Alexander turned 10 yesterday. My mother called him before he left for school and sang "Happy Birthday" to him. I could tell by the huge grin on his face (sort of like the one on my face when she calls me on my birthday ( Read more... )
