Last week, I had a big cooking day. I have been reading a book I checked out of the library. It is called: "Once a Month Cooking". I started with the two week plan since that covers a pay period and was able to cook and freeze 16 meals in about five or six hours ( Read more... )

I was able to find the on-line obituary for Aunt Shirley here.

Her memorial service was beautiful. She was greatly loved.

My brother's Godmother, Shirley Storoe, passed away this weekend. She had ill from complications following heart surgery a few months ago. Her husband Glen, passed away a couple of years ago. Glen was a cousin of some sort on my mother's side which made Shirley some sort of relative by marriage. We always just called them "Uncle Glen and Aunt ( Read more... )

I took the kids to the opthamologist yesterday for their eye exams. I had glasses when I was Alex's age, and Corey is also very nearsighted, so I thought it would be a good idea to check. I went to the Animal Shelter; they had two black strays, but neither was Hugin. I also called nearby vets to see if anyone brought in an injured cat, but no luck.
