Last night I dreamt I ate baby bok choy.  I woke up, I went to the store, became frustrated in the dream because there was no proper spinach.  Bought baby bok choy.  Took it home.  Put it in a skillet after soaking it in water.  Got burnt by hot water popping off the skillet.  Put sesame oil and salt and chili flakes in it.  Turned off heat.  ( Read more... )

ACL this weekend was fun.  Most everyone I told was ragging on it and me for going and I have to admit I was pretty nervous and expecting the absolute worst imaginable with regards to my festival experience but I had a great time!  C3 did a great job.  Shuttle lines?  No problem!  Water, food, booze--no problem!  About as expensive as you'd get at ( Read more... )

So our office building has this "thing" going on where it "breaks all the time."  Already this morning there has been one false alarm and 2 urinals overflowing with sewage.  Note:  the sewage overflow is not a new problem in any sense.  Not at all.  My desk is near the toilets.  This makes for an even more nauseating work day.  Also.  I am a number ( Read more... )

My timing is always, oh so hilariously, off.  

Do you ever want to crash your car into the nearest object that will most assuredly provide the best results?  Because I totally do.  Anything to turn off the radio.  That's all.  Slamming my palm into the button with force only provides so much satisfaction.

I would like it to be known that I will never, ever, ever under any circumstances (EVER!) update any "status" function with the phrase "(Jessica is:) working for the weekend."

I got a new phone and it has been a delightful excuse to purge my life of unwanted contacts.
