Cat antics part $BIGNUMBER
Filed under: my cats can be disturbingly smart (and incredibly dumb). The cats are fascinated with my glasses for some reason. I guess they like the rattling noise or something? To remember Grandma
Mom started it on Facebook:
"In memory of Grandma - have a big bowl of ice cream and/or a giant shot of vodka.
After that, several of us submitted our ideas for how to conduct appropriate memorials, and by the end of the day, it sounded like a pretty good party!
- Appreciate a flower
- Watch a Sean Connery movie, or play a game of cards
- Eat some beef

Hm.
An interesting talk, and some nice visuals. I have to say I'm particularly primed to ponder this sort of thing lately, since I'm moving more toward committing (at least for now) to a career in education (having not gotten any of the jobs I applied for, and no really finding any other jobs that sound good). Robin is super effective!
I've been in a weird mood lately. I seem to either not work at all, or do ridiculous amounts of work. Yesterday I got it into my head to rearrange our furniture (too many friends getting new apartments/homes, it gives me the itch). Today I had a tutoring lesson at 11 up near campus, so I took off a little early to pick up the business cards I had ( Read more... ) -
Success is sort of like the end of the world...
...it's more of a whimper than a bang. But it's still success!
Relevant information: my paper was accepted for publication a the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) journal!
Mostly I'm just tired. But maybe the happy will come soon....
