My First Weekend in Singapore

Jul 27, 2008 04:09

So three days have practically gone by and I'm doing fine.  Admittedly, I haven't done laundry yet (I intend to do so on Wednesday or Thursday).  I'm pretty sure that that 'fine' will be a different story by then.  But generally, I'm adjusting well.

I could write in narrative form, but that isn't very fun to do.  I actually intended to video log, ( Read more... )

Been to Singapore only once, and that was in 2000, but I suggest heading to Kopi Tiam for cheap food. :D

Took a look at the pictures, looks pretty nice, even if it looks way too new. Or maybe it's just me, having gotten used to places that have aged a bit. No one really builds new places around here in SF and newer places costs an arm and leg..

Yeah! Let's meet up :) I'm at Block 29. Are you here or in Manila?

I'm part of a Non-Exchange Program, taking up modules from the FASS (hopefully I get those that I want).

I visited Singapore for a week earlier this year. I absolutely loved the place. The public transit system is the best. And I loved the food. A lot.

I love the public transit system too! I'm kind of confident that I'll never get lost. Or, I mean, even if I do get lost, I'll always find a way back.

haha, it's great that you're enjoying singapore so far :) yeah, the non-aircon rooms in PGP are pretty small (i used to stay in one when i was in first year), but you'll get used to it. and the public transport system is definitely one of the few things i like about the country :)

i'll be heading back there this sunday (august 3) so if you want to meet up, just let me know :)

Totally unrelated to the main topic of the post, but...

They do smell. A lot. Especially in the summer when it's humid, and in the winter, when they take off their winter coats.

:D

Why are you in Singapore? AND! Are there merlions everywhere? OvO
