I just spent a long time reading through my old journal entries. Like, from my actual hand-written, personal journals. It's crazy how much I've changed since I first started writing in them when I was 8 years old, but yet how much I'm fundamentally the same person.

Isn't it amazing going back and reading all that stuff? Man. I've done that here and there, and it's awesome making the connections between where you were then and where you are now. Whew. Good stuff!

I'm always ashamed and cringe when I read old journal ramblings. I'm always astonished at how angst-filled I was as a teenager. Yikes.

I wish my parents had encouraged me to write. I absolutely adore writing now, and it's a plus that I know what I'm doing with a pen now. Woohoo, I got something out of this whole college thing.
