Possible bright side: Dealing with ridiculous dogs and ridiculous people at a young age will help Bentley be a better therapy dog, I think. If he develops a kind tolerance for them now, later on the idiocies of people and animals will be less of a shock to him. He can remain cool as a cucumber in those situations.

At the rate he is going it'll be a while before he calms down enough for real training as a therapy dog. So much puppy energy!!! But overall, he is a mellow puppy, which is awesome. I look forward to bringing him in to work with me, hahaha.

Also... For Golden retrievers, 6 months is too early. Increases the risk of cancer and hip dysphasia significantly (something like 4x the risk... Not entirely certain of the number). The breed is already riddled with cancer and joint problems. The majority of goldens die from cancer vs another condition.
Don't worry, he'll be castrated soon. :-) until then I'm taking the necessary precautions.
