Feeling a bit anxious this morning. The primarily reason for feeling anxious is that I am meeting some co-workers for a bike ride. Doesn't sound bad, except 1) I don't know them well, at all. So being the socially awkward person I am, it makes me nervous. 2) these co-workers are used to riding 30+ miles at a time, and I am not. I can ride 10 miles ( Read more... )

My family (well, mom, Dana, and Erik) came up to Anchorage to visit for a week last week. I am so happy the weather cooperated. Sunny skies and mid 70's every day. I haven't seen a rainy/snowy day in a month, which is the last time it snowed. Now we are having some freak heat wave from China with 85 degree weather. Unheard of in anchorage.

I am currently putting my money in a savings account, though I am still questioning whether this was the correct/financially smartest decision. I am planning to talk with my uncle, who is a financial advisor for Edward jones. I'll let you know what he says

It truly does irk me when I see the following when taking Bentley to the dog park (or even taking him to an enclosed baseball field!):
1) owners that cannot control their dog

Bentley graduated from puppy class last night! Woo! Tonight I signed him up for a beginners obedience class starting next week Wednesday.

I have to admit to being somewhat disappointed with the puppy class he did. I should have realized it was more of a socialization class versus anything else. I feel like it was $85 wasted considering I spend a ( Read more... )

Inspired by Amy, I went on my first run in... way too many months. Probably close to 8 or 9 months. I did a walk 5 min, run 10 min (repeat) for a solid hour. Not too bad for first getting back into running. I am sitting in my bedroom, in peace for the first time all day. It is wonderful. And as I am sitting here I am missing all you loverly people on the east coast at the annual New Year's Eve eve party at Amy's. I hope you are all having an awesome time! I love having health insurance with dental and eye care. Seriously.

I went to the dentist a week ago and the dentist commented on my "beautiful teeth" and "excellent home care". Then he continued by saying an old sealant failed a long time ago in a molar and it wasn't my fault that I have (now had) a cavity underneath it.

Just found out two of my classmates and friends from PT school got engaged. I am definitely incredibly happy for them.

But at the same time I'm very sad. They started dating almost a year after Steve and I started dating. And there is no engagement in sight for me. Or in the near future. I am jealous of my friends and I hate myself for it. *sigh*
