A life dream of mine has always been to play Flight of the Bumblebee.
Guess what.
Yeah, I'm learning it.
Today I went into the practice room knowing two bars, and came out two hours later having memorized six lines... (oh, maybe 24 bars-ish?) ... at exactly half-tempo. I mean that it is polished to half tempo. I can swing it faster if I don't mind

Don't worry love, it'll happen. Slow and steady, steady and slow. Though I must admit 9 years is more like a snail than a turtle. ;)

I am SOOOOOO jealous of your new found piece! I love Flight of the Bumblebee, and while I always say "Wow, I'd love to be able to play violin" (especially right after orchestra concerts or anything that has a violin or cello in it) I have a feeling that will probably never happen. But I can hope :) Good job, Dear! Keep up the good work! :-D

YAY about the bumblebee! You are DEFINITELY doing the right thing with it - it HAS to be clean, or it would suck. :) Are you planning this for recital? You should. It would be an awesome closer.

As a matter of fact, I have planned to put this on the recital, last thing.
I also expect it shall be videotaped, since Wexler can't make it on a Saturday (and that's the day I want) and if it goes well... I'll think about YouTube-ing it.

Yay! This makes me so incredibly happy. :-D It seems like everything is going so well for you and it just makes me smile.

And you are awesome, and clearly, you will find a way to do ANYTHING you want to. I mean come on. Look at what you achieved in playing completley pain free. That right there should prove to you that you can do anything.
