But wait. . . there is still the post series movie:

The Plan (TV movie)

On August 7, 2008 it was announced by the Sci-Fi channel that a two-hour television movie will air sometime after the series finale. So far, the confirmed cast includes Tricia Helfer, Grace Park, Callum Keith Rennie, Michael Hogan, Michael Trucco, Aaron Douglas, Dean Stockwell, and Edward James Olmos (who will also be the movie's director). The plot of The Plan is set after the events of the Cylons' attack on the 12 colonies. It began production on September 8, 2008.

The Plan is likely the final Battlestar Galactica television movie; most of the sets were struck after production and many of the props were sold at auction in January 2009.

SynopsisThe movie begins just after The Destruction of the Twelve Colonies, with two Cylon agents discussing the problem of the remaining humans, both on the planets, and those who have escaped into space. The movie shows the initial storyline of the reimagined Battlestar Galactica from the Cylon point of view. Edward James ( ... )

I never bothered with this generation of BSG because I thought the original series sucked. Of course, I have been wrong before. I guess I'll have to get some out of Netflix.

Definitely. Start with the mini-series prequel and prepare yourself for a serious roller-coaster ride for some considerable time to come. You WILL watch it all, I assure you.

Yes, the original series was a kiddie show that I never watched at all. In contrast, this iteration is the most adult scifi TV show ever made. Definitely worth getting the DVDs.

I got a case of the sniffles at the end..

I will miss REALLY miss Starbuck tho! I have a severe crush on the character & the girl.

If you are looking for another really good show, even though I know most British shows tend to be better than ours, Breaking Bad is a cut above the rest. It shows the line between how far someone can be brought to the dark side :)
