Eulogy for a Toaster
The toaster oven has stopped toasting. We got the thing from my friend Filomena when she got engaged and bought a house. It had a hot spot in the back left corner that could be relied on to burn anything on that quadrant of the rack. The Mango and I had no trouble with this. Migration to the Ocean
It was the second camping expedition for The Moose, and the first one that The Banana has attended in a year or so. There were other dogs there: a dachshund, two schnauzer-ish looking fellows, three border collies, and that was just in our group campsite. INVOICES have been sent out!
Yes, yes. It might seem a minor victory (or none at all) to some, but I loathe and detest invoicing with every fibre of my being. And yet, I love what I do, so it's a Necessary Weevil.

Before The Mango graduated Basic, my boating buddy mentioned the East Fork Carson River - and I said any weekend but May 15. 'Round June 1, he proposed June 14-15, and I thought that sounded fine. Woot! A letter from the Mango!
It's been a good day, a long day, and I just wrote 2,616 words to The Mango, as he did write that more mail=good. Certain members of my flist can pat themselves on the back and say "told you so!"
