nice!!! but didnt he die? and didnt harry get the house?? i cant remmeber the details of his death, but was there a body? all i can remember is that he decided not to remain a death eater and so he was killed....just as the other dude who escaped...Kxxxxxx

yes, regulus IS dead. but who knows how long that note was there? AND, it was let slip that he left voldemort's group and was killed for it, rather than dying FOR voldemort: [remus lupin, on the finding of karkaroff's body] "well, frankly, i'm surprised he stayed alive for even a year after deserting the death eaters; sirius's brother, regulus, only managed a few days as far as i can remember."

despite what sirius said in OotP, it seems his brother tried to leave voldemort, though his parents were proud of their son's noble death in service to voldemort. so who knows?
