01. Oh God why do I relate to this secret so much.
Sometimes friendships just fall apart, OP. =\ Sometimes it's no one's fault, sometimes it's one or the other's or everyone's...I know from personal experience that it's tough, but it's better just to move on after a certain point. There'll be other RPers in other games. You'll make new friends. Just do your best to take whatever lessons you can from the experience and use it to both help you be a better friend and pick better friends. *huggle*
Kind of OT, but this seems as good a place to ask as any -- what the fuck is that series actually about? I tried to read it but got sidetracked very quickly, and I'm not interested enough to expend the effort to try again, but none of these characters look... anything like what I saw when I tried to read Homestuck. It's honestly frustrating me to no end, trying to figure out WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON.
It's hard to without, well, giving away some of the plot, but basically- those four kids (or however far you got, the one or two that you saw) end up playing this game that's like the Sims in a sense; only it's not in that you have to accomplish game quests and beat bosses and there's more or less a huge prize at the end. All the gray guys/the trolls are from another session of the same game, and the two sessions end up interacting through...well. Plot shit. But you don't even see the trolls until later on in the series.
The characters featured in that picture don't actually show up in person until quite a bit later in the series. Spoilers obviously but the most basic plot is: the world is ending and the kids have to overcome obstacles and help each other out using the Sburb/Sgrub client to make a new one.
Probably being too careful, but I know I hated trying to navigate the series without being spoiled on everything just because I was too late =X
Upfront, I'm gonna say that you should really talk to this person on an open, honest level, op. I bet things might work out, and say they don't? If they still avoid you-- if they're still unreachable? At least you'll know for once and for all that they aren't worth your time and you can move on to more approachable partners.
In the meantime, imagine you're getting a Sora-hug, because these things are tough. You aren't stupid or an embarrassment. We're all just people.
