In one paper, I read:

In the next:

The Soleil Synchrotron Visit in Paris- Part 1
It was a very much looked forward trip for me because I have always wanted to visit a synchrotron. Visited the Singapore Synchrotron, but it is nothing compared to Soleil. The name is also well given. Soleil in French, is Sun. I only remembered 2 out of the reasons why it is named that way. Well, probably cos they are common sensical to remember.
