Oh, thank you! I just see them both as wary, maybe for different reasons, but there's something about them that is gentle and tentative and they need a bit of a push, you know?

And for the first time, maybe ever, he feels shockingly old. He's so used to being the young one, with years of hard life behind him, yes, but still - he'd been the youngest with four older sisters growing up, always the youngest in everything when he was in the military, and the youngest on his team in Atlantis, by far. Here, he's an old man, and he feels it.

I loved this. It says so much about Ronon, and how he relates to both Jennifer and to his team. I also liked Ronon's first time in a cab, and realizing that he'd only ever been in SGC-provided cars with drivers. As a Midwesterner, I was tickled by Ronon noticing how flat everything is, too.

I'm so glad you liked it, and I was really trying to get inside of Ronon's head here and how he relates to Keller's life. And I'm glad the Midwestern detail resonated - I'm from the northeast, so the flatness totally freaks me out too.
