Have you seen the new M&S advert, the one for Christmas?

This one :)

It's great, fun like usual but they stuffed it up. Peter Kay is in it this year but in the bit where he dances why did they have to fake it? It'd have been lots better with him doing it. It's badly done, and really spoils the whole thing. I know it's only an advert but I bet ( Read more... )

I agree - the bit with Peter Kay is really distracting. I just sit there going "Peter Kay... not Peter Kay...Peter Kay... not Peter Kay..." every time it switches between him and his stand-in dancer. They could at least have given the stand-in a bit of padding so it wasn't so obvious that his waist-line is half the size of Peter Kay's!

Wow! That switch is obvious. Too bad they did not let him dance.
Also, is that not Twiggy?

I think the fact they did the insert of the other dancer so obviously may be tongue in cheek. For the laugh?

I thought that the fake Peter Kay was deliberate. It looks as if he's wearing a mask, as do the other two dancers with him. But yes, I agree, they should have made more of that. It's a good ad though and I love the song!

Are all those people slebs? Twiggy is the only one I know. I should probably watch more rubbish TV. (Or not.)

Personally, I dislike the fact that the men stay fully clothed while the women strip down to their underwear. What year is it?!

M&S are planning to go into funerals, apparently, & it's v hard not to go [sultry voice] "This is not just any funeral ..."

*chuckle* yes

I agree about the underwear, though I guess as they are most known for underwear they feel they must put it in

There's a few models in it and Danii Minogue along with Twiggy and Peter Kay (who I had to look up before my first post)
