I kind of have a spring mood in me today, for whatever reason. My summer of slothful indulgence is almost over--school starts next wednesday and I'll hopefully cruise through two more quarters and finally get my bachelor's degree ( Read more... )

I love the start of school! So much so that I became a teacher to relive once yearly that excited and anticipatory sense of limitless possibilities. Hooray for school!

BTW: I love your pic/avvie. :)

thanks! I don't have as much thrill at the first day of school as I used to, but I still have plenty of anticipation--couldn't sleep!

I'm not in the SCA although I keep thinking about going to their archery or dance practices. I know that the Seattle group is Barony of Madrone, and there's a sub-group for UW called College of St. Bunstable.

thanks! I might go to a dance practice with you sometime, if a cohort would provide any impetus, and schedules allow... :)

That would be awesome! I'm on the Madrone announcement list, and every once in a while I get an announcement about a dance practice in the U District, something like the 1st or 3rd Monday of every month... I'll keep an eye peeled for the next one!
