I keep talking to friends of mine, and I know that I actually have to get some studying done, but when I sit down to do it, all I think about is What is John doing?I'm so mad at him, and everyone who doesn't know us both is totally taking my side, telling me that I'm better off without him and that I don't need someone who may or may not cheat on

I kinda know John. I've talked to him on IM before. Not sure if that counts though.

If nothing is figured out by then, well, we'll just tack on more time.

Except when I know that he may have feelings for them, and vice-versa.
I would have probably done the same thing. I don't think you did anything wrong by asking him to not talk to Maggie.
