Truly, this is such an intimate chapter and I really enjoyed it, even though I had to take a break halfway through, due to the length. I don't think there was anything in the narrative that didn't matter. Every word you write seems destined for an impact and the combination of all makes this installment of the story so far as enchanting as the first. I like how subtly you linked the scenery observed by Hotsuma, mentioning the rush of water he heard in the dark as it appears in the light. Although they aren't the most interesting characters, you presented Jekyll and Hyde in this menacing sort of way that I knew we'd come to dread when the time finally comes. I like how logically Shuusei views his surroundings and how he comforts himself with its routines and procedures to shield his own feelings and thoughts. Even when he tried to avoid Hotsuma and treat him like a client, there was no way around it; no logic in the world would steer him away from what Hotsuma's feeling. I don't know how you did it but that moment where Shuusei comes ( ... )
