Ah, that was so sweet!! I think you made Hibari and Yamamoto very in character, and I liked the whole "mastication" concept and the references to it....for example "...and Yamamoto briefly wonders if he will be chewed quickly or slowly whenever he’s bitten to death", that was so funny and clever at the same time.

Overall, great job and I'm looking forward to reading more 8018 from you!

I'm so glad they were in character. That's something I always work hard on with my writing, and with this piece in particular I kept changing some of the scenes around until I felt like they would fit more for 8018.

Actually, I originally began this as a short little drabble about Yama watching Hibari eat and being fascinated by watching him, but then the mastication concept really built out the whole fic. I'm glad that shows :)
