I want to see Brokeback Mountain!

Over Thanksgiving break my parents overtly told me that there was no Santa Claus...for like the first time ever. I think they were being sarcastic.

I went to this program a couple of days ago on $5,000 summer research grants that they give to sophomores, which apparently aren't too hard to get if you have a good idea. I was thinking it would be cool to research some aspect of border communities, not just in TX, but across the Southwest (roadtrip!). Any ideas for aspects of/ issues relating ( Read more... )

Several days ago I left my water container in my guitar class. As a result, I had to use a different water container, which happened to be much more voluminous, approximately the size of a misshapen human head. I'm at school now and classes start tomorrow! I'm going to take Spanish I, Introductory Electronics, Design I, PWR II (a multimedia/speech class), and a seminar on Hawaiian slack-key guitar. There's a lot more to write, but I'm feeling very lazy and I'm not very good at writing entries that exceed 3-5 sentences yet.

I am sitting on a bed in a hotel in Rosement, Illinois. My parents and I stopped here on our way to Minnesota to visit relatives. Today my mom and I went to the Art Insitute of Chicago and were overwhelmed by visual stimuli. There was a Toulouse-Lautrec exhibit which was cool as well as some other good stuff.
