Here comes your old pal Rachel P. Kreiter to totally rub salt in the wound. You people think Macs are so great, but crap like this happens to them too. Then you have to pay $1,000 to get you data back? Bogus. I had my data recovered on this great non-Mac and it cost about $100, which is a lot less. The moral of the story is that we all pick the computer that we think works for us, but they're all susceptible to the same failings.
