thank you, paul...i really appreciate that. you know how much i cared for Inch, and it is going to be very difficult to get past hurt. time has a way of making these things hurt less, however, so i hope that it does get easier with the passing of time.

I'm really sorry to hear about the loss of your dog Sam. I know it must feel really terrible and I hope you feel better soon.

Please continue to write of your culinary exploits! I've started cooking myself and love to hear about the cooking adventures of others.

thanks, renee! losing pets is always heartbreaking, but i am already on my way to feeling better.

keep an eye out for my vegetarian chili recipe some time this weekend! i've got it down to almost an art, and i definitely want to share the recipe with others. :)

thanks, nicole! losing pets is absolutely terrible, but time does have a way of making things less painful. the good news is that there are many dogs at the SPCA that need a loving owner, and once i have had enough time to mourn, i would love to have a dog of my own to take care of.

thank you, chelsea! it's a tough thing to experience for anyone that loves their pets, but we all get through it, in the end. :)

Hey Sam 2,

I am sorry to hear about your pet. I know animals can be as close as people sometimes and it hurts a lot.

Also awesome with the books. I am reading voraciously recently as well. I just started Crime and Punishment. What good poetry authors would you recommend?

thanks, sam 1! it hurts more than i ever thought it would, but time has a way of healing that kind of hurt.

what do you think of Crime and Punishment so far? i started reading it about a year ago, and never finished, but i was definitely enjoying it. in terms of poetry, i guess it really depends on what kind of poetry you're looking for. i'd always recommend e.e. cummings, t.s. eliot, ezra pound, and charles bukowski, but i guess it really depends on what kind of poetry you are into. hope that helps!
