John and I drove down to Thompson Friday afternoon to spend Halloween evening with the Lodins and go treat-or-treating with Madison. Mostly, though, I wanted to see how the dress I made fit her. See for yourself.

The Halloween dress arrived in Thompson today. Madison tried it on and it fit perfectly.

When I talked to her on the phone she said, "I love it!" So did her mother, my lovely daughter.

Wow! I did it right!

I finally finished the dress on Sunday last, around 7 p.m. It took a whole lot more time than I thought it would. Not that I'm out of practice; just that there was a lot more piddly little handwork and details than I expected.

I'm making Madison, my 6-year-old granddaughter, a witch costume for Halloween. I bought fabric last night, and I hope to have it all together and ready to mail by Saturday.
