Ah yes... remember this. Jolts me like it did the first time I read it... this still, IMHO, is quite possibly one of the most powerful scene/emotion descriptions I've seen in fic.

Those are extremely kind words, thank you so much! The two paragraphs of Rose's experience were pretty much the first things I wrote for this whole series, so everything sort of developed out of that. (My fic-writing brain does not understand linear progression!)

Beyond that, to actually review the story! I got the rec from invisible_lift's journal and ... wow. I have to say that it's been a while since I've poked around in Doctor/Rose/Jack in fandom, but this is definitely the most incredible one I've read so far. I can't wait to see where you're going with it. I love your broody characterization of the Doctor, and the way that Jack is there just on the fringes, accepted but still a little bit of an outsider when it comes to the more technical details of the arrangement.

Wow, not sure what words are going to make sense after that! Took me a moment to figure out who was speaking in that first chapter so I had to go back and read the story again. Not as if that was such a terrible chore. :)

I'm very curious as to what the Doctor has done that 1)makes him broken and 2)how he's going to get back into Rose's good graces.

Seriously.....only 3 more chapters?
