I guess I have been a bit neglectful about posting. Frankly, there has not been that much to post about. And I have read your posts, but I seem to be lacking in anything close to a relevant remark. It has caused some issues, I suppose. I had someone drop off FB perhaps because of this. Or it could have been that less than savory link I posted one ( Read more... )

Well one I am very excited about but I have to jump a few hoops before I even sit down with someone. Their screening process is intense. I guess they don't want to make any errors in judgement. HA. I know the managers they have hired in the past so it does not work as well as they think.

Thanks sweetie.

Best of luck with the interviews, honey!

We all drop off the radar occasionally. Some of us more than jsut occasionally. And you're on Facebook, too, eh? Damn, everyone is there these days...

I am not sure how much longer I will keep the FB. I am not overly thrilled with their policies which include selling my profile to every Tom, Dick and Harry of the marketing world. So daily my email is loaded with offers of Extenze, motorized wheelchairs, miracle blueberry bushes and offers of singles who are over fifty.

It has become very old, very fast. The only reason why I do stay is to play Yo-Ville and as soon as I break that habit it is gone, gone, gone for FB.

There might be a place near you where you can do practice interviews for free. But I be tyou'll do fine.
Research the company you're interviewing with a little, so you can match their tone, seem informed, and maybe have some relevant questions: "I understand that _______ is going to be expanding in the next county in 3 months; will you be shifting some of the people from the local branch into that one" or maybe reference some industry trends, like specials for Designated Drivers that encourage parties where most of the visitors are drinking lots. I'm sure you already know the sort of thing.

Good idea Helen. Thanks!

I have done a bunch of research on them. They were right across the street. LOL. I have also done some digging on their corporate structure, stocks, growth. Good stuff to use if I get past all the tests and reference checks. LOL.

Thanks! I am going to need all the luck I can muster. :D

I missed you too, although I have kept up with you via Potter Place and sneaking in here to read. I should have made my presence known more often. That I am going to work on!
