So, no kids, no Sunday dinner to cook opens up free time and plans are to use that driving around and taking pictures of the gorgeous trees. Missouri has some the most spectacular fall views and there are a number of trees I visit every year just to see their fancy foliage ( Read more... )

We've been tree stalking, too ^-^ We remembered some of the really incredible ones from last year and they're even more impressive this year because we got so much rain at the end of summer. The simple beauty of autumn is so humbling.

Cool deck I've seen it on my Amazon

Hope the off feeling goes away throughout the day ♥

It's a cute deck imho and easy to read. I doubt that it becomes a fave.

Hope you had better luck with trees than we did. Many of them here have already dropped their leaves, especially the red maples which I love. It has been very dry here this fall.

*nodding* You might like it to read for other people? Sometimes I realize a deck I have doesn't really suit me, but it does vibe with someone I know so I always bring that one to read for them

We did, but I'm sorry you missed your magnificent reds. They're my favourite too ♥

Agreed, they are decks to fit every personality.

At least I got to see the trees a bit earlier, just didn't get any pics this time around. Waiting for the second Sugar Maple in my yard to turn. Weird, one has already dropped it's leaves before the other one turns and they appear to be the same species. Hmmm.. I didn't plant them so don't know for sure.

Bless them indeed. I love it when one of them brightens my day. The trees were meh, many have already dropped their leaves. It is very dry here, maybe that's why? But, the drive was ok and I actually left this place. Amazing..lol

We haven't gotten any decent rain since the first week in August.
The rain clouds just aren't coming here....

Same here... I don't much like the dryness and the dust.

Yay for texts from the grand kids =)

I love gardening barefoot...but I am often out very early and the mosquitos just ate up my feet this year.

The trees are getting gorgeous around here too.
We used to have a poison ivy covered tree that I used to go view (from a safe distance!) every fall as well. The leaves always turned a brilliant fuchsia red.
The owners finally had the tree cut down--I do pity whoever did the work because they must have broken out afterwards.

Poison ivy has become a real pest here in recent years, even invaded my herb garden. since we don't use poison, there's really no way we have found to get rid of it. Maybe they found someone to cut down the tree who wasn't allergic?

Thanks for thinking kindly of my toe. I swear I hurt myself way too often these days, but at least they are just small owies.
