About 30 years ago, a psychiatrist prescribed Xanax for my PTSD. Only now is it coming to light how dangerous this drug can be, and how hard it is to stop taking it. My mom was on it for many years and somehow managed to go off it cold turkey. I have no clue how. Good luck getting off them.

I do get a Xanax script but I take it very rarely and mostly for my back - essentially 20 pills per year which I split them in half.
