It is a hot, very hot, sultry night in the Garden State and I am taking refuge at my aunt and uncle's where I have an internet connection and air conditioning. I didn't know him well, but I will remember
This morning, I found out that D, a friendly acquaintance from college, had drowned over the weekend. I didn't know D very well, but we had many mutual friends and socialized occasionally with each other. Unfortunately, I don't have many memories of him, but my impression of him is very vivid and stayed with me all these years.

Last night, we were discussing aging in one of my social work classes and the following (summarized) comments were made by one of my colleagues:

Monday Morning
Monday morning and I am (like all humans) mourning the end of the another weekend. Especially this one with two days of glorious warm, spring weather and the whole world coming to life. Morning Classes
Just one thought: I registered for classes for the Fall 2009 semester. but I have to schedule both of them on Saturday morning due to my uncertain schedule and that I don't want to be on campus more than two days per week.. Reflections
I have been reflecting on how I have used this journal to vent my frustration which props up in my daily life. Although, it is healthy to vent and have an outlet to describe, examine and release those feeling, I feel like I have been looking at the negative side of live this winter versus the positive side. Saturday- Through Facebook, I have reunited with several women who I attended my first high school with- a small all-Catholic school which closed at the end of my freshman year of high school.
