Annoying situations in the lives of single people....

I just want make a quick entry regarding two situations between men and women in the single, dating world which I find extremely annoying.

First, why is it if a woman goes out on a date with a man and he does not like her- he automatically has the right not to call her?  In response, if the woman has to take the gentlemen's lack of communication and ( Read more... )

Good points all- especially about guys not having the decency to face up to passing on disappointing news. I think you're right- not appropriate for either sex.

I'm curious as to how something is supposed to square up though. In another recent post, you mentioned about guys having to work for affections, yet here you seem to lament persistent follow-up. How does that reconcile (or am I just totally missing the point that the only real sin lamented here is the avoidance)?

Anyway, I am sorry that these nitwits (I can't imagine that's too strong) can't appreciate the wonderful person before them.

You raise a very good argument. Yes, I do feel men have to work for a woman's affections. However, if the woman is interested- (if she is smart, sane and doesn't play major mind-games) she will offer the man some encouragement that his interest is reciprocated. However, if he keeps calling and the woman is not calling him back or blowing him off- she is not interested (granted there are exceptions to rule like if she is having major personal issues or crisis ( ... )
