My '95 Camry went over 111,111 miles today. My wife says I should get a new car, but I'm sort of attached to it. It's just the thing to drive up and down Route 202.

Hey there!

So I once remember you offering to give me advice every now and then so this is me cashing in on that *winks*

my 1L year is comming to an end and it is now time to think about next year classes. I do not know how other law schools are, but my school has done a pretty poor job in advising us...I am lost.

As you well know, I want to be a patent attorney. Therefore out of those core classes i was thinking maybe CrimPro was not really that important and i should take patent law, intellectual property law, or trademarks. I am just completely and totally lost *le sigh*

Any advice would be very much appreciated

If you can take a patent course, a copyright course, and trademark course during you law school career, a general IP survey course might be redundant. I would suggest: all the IP courses you can get (except as noted above), equity (sometimes called remedies), antitrust, and some First Amendment related course or seminar, such as media law. Some schools have courses in entertainment law and/or art law, which would also be useful if you can work them in. Criminal procedure is useful for the bar exam, but you probably already know about Miranda. Good luck with registration.
