When we drove through Alcoa, Tennessee, last week, I noticed the streets were named after noted scientists and inventors: Edison, Faraday, Watt, Newton, Joule, Morse, and Bell. But there didn't seem to be an Ohm Street. Maybe there had been some resistance to that.

We just got a new espresso machine in our office. One of the options is "Decaffeinated Espresso." Isn't that an oxymoron, like "decaffeinated caffeine"? Why would anyone who drinks espresso want it decaffeinated? Might as well drink water as decaffeinated espresso.

Our power went out at 7:14 PM and came back on at 11:36 PM. There was a tree limb down on the line. We were lucky. The Philadelphia area still had over 200,000 people without power this afternoon and was calling for help.
