What does the word slut mean? To me, it is a woman who has sex the way society expects a man to.
Can members of either gender be sluts? In theory, but it's a term traditionally given to women, and it has a much greater stigma when addressing a woman. To a woman, it is an insult, to a man, it's rarely as hurtful.
Is slut a term of judgment? If so, what is being judged? And by what standard? It absolutely is. A woman's value is being judged. Society has a double-standard when it comes to sexual behavior. Men can be promiscuous and it's considered normal. Women who are promiscuous are dirty, damaged.
How much sex is appropriprate? Does this figure differ for men and women? No amount is appropriate. By that ( ... )
