Today I finished Ian Rankin's 'The Blood Hunt'. It's a splendid wee novel - a jolly good read! The only thing I can't understand is the title. It's the kind of title that could be given to a million other novels. There's nothing that really ties it into this novel. It definitely lacks imagination. Naff for want of a better word.

I'm moving on now ( Read more... )

Let me know if you ever decide to do the West Coast Road trip. I live along that drive, only 2 blocks off of the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) :)

My suggestion, if you decide to do that drive, is to do it in mid to late summer. PCH sometimes is closed for portions in the winter near Big Sur due to rockslides. The road is almost always open by late spring through early fall. But June tends to be a bit gloomy here on the left coast, so the July, August, and September would be the optimal time to do it :)

I miss having a mother to fuss over me from time to time. Bad part about living 2500 miles away.

Hey - thanks for the tip. Been discussing it with pals and looks like we could do it cheaper than I'd originally worked out. So good chance we might just go for it. Will keep you posted. ;-)
