It's been quite a while since I've posted here. When I came back from Iraq with the Marines, I was very angry and cared less about talking about my life. Things went really downhill for a while, and I looked at the world with a lot of hatred. Nowadays things are quite the opposite. DigiPen Summer Sketchbook Assignment
I got my welcome aboard packet today from DigiPen. In that packet, I also got my summer sketchbook assignment. I have to do exercises from a book called "The New Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain". After I complete it, I have to fill the rest of my sketchbook with other drawings of observation. Visiting Dad
Today I went to the Veterans Administration National Cemetery in Riverside. My father is buried there. I never visited his grave until now. I figured I would see him before I left California. Yesterday, as I was driving home, I was quite annoyed at how my chain of command was giving me shit for my missing gear statement. Then my iPhone made a noise informing me I had an email. Today was a depressing day. As I worked at the restaurant, I switched the TV to CNN to watch the updates. I watched as Obama gradually won the election. It was a very disappointing experience. I voted for McCain using the early ballot since I wasn't in Texas. Everyone I knew that supported McCain, that wasn't in the military, didn't go out and vote ( Read more... ) -
Second... Again
So today I graduated from the Combat Marksmanship Coaches Course. I received a meritorious mast for having the 2nd highest GPA. I actually tied for 2nd. The one in 1st was Morris, my good friend I also work with at the MTU, so I don't feel bad because we were sort of partners. But it reminds me of the time when I got 2nd highest GPA in Pre-Sniper ( Read more... ) -

Off To A Better Life
I took McNeelege to the airport today to see him off. He's out of the Marine Corps now. It sucked having to see him off. He was my best friend in the Marine Corps, quite possibly the best friend I ever had. Tae headed to Franklin, WI to love with McCardle. I hope the beat for him. 9 to 5... Actually 7 to 3
I was transferred from guard to the MTU, Marksmanship Training Unit, last week. At first I was kind of disappointed. At guard, I worked one day every six days and had a lot of free time. I have been swimming a lot to try and get lean. But I originally wanted to work at the MTU, and this will help me in a career later when I am a civilian. It sucks ( Read more... ) -
