you have no idea how jealous i am right now. i have been wanting to see the forbidden city since i heard its name. in fact, it was the sole reason i took a bazillion classes in chinese history. (not really but still)
did/will you guys see the democracy wall? i'm pretty sure it is in beijing. in fact i know it is because i remember it was suppressed in 1979 or early 80s by Mao. it probably is just a wall now. argh nevermind.

I get home the 13th and will be around until the 24th at which time I will be having all of the individuality sucked directly out of my soul, so unless you never want to see pre-lobotomized me again, you damn well better get your globe-trotting ass home.
Also there is a drag king competition in DC on the 19th and I want to go.
