We made it to the finals! Our 4 minute long film is going to compete with ten other finalists at the Grand Slam event at the Laurelhurst Theater on August 19th. First prize is $500, second is $200 and third $100 but even if we don't win, we're already being included on a DVD that Orlo puts out of the finalists. Not bad for our first attempt at

I'll send you a friendster message to discuss the upcoming EC reunion... thanks for the congrats. It's silly how excited I am but it's probably just because this is the first time I've ever ventured into the world of film. It's a different kind of performance. You can just sit back in the audience and be anonymous instead of having to be up on stage with the bright lights making a river out of your makeup.

thanks Kaiser, I'd love to get the technical know-how to post some animation. I've got another claymation in the works that I'm really excited about - I'm making all these tiny vintage dresses for the main character to wear. When that's finished I'll definitely attempt to put something up, even if it's only stills.

I think I'm still in Stage 1 of your chinese foodie scale. But you forgot the tu do se (pinyin?) and di san xian - oh yeah and the suan cai chao fen tiao (pinyin?) - those were my faves and I can't find them in any restaurants here.
