No air conditioning?

NO BLOODY AIR CONDITIONING?!

Yusuke, although I do admire the rather rustic charm of your chosen abode, I fully expect you to do something about the lack of an interior cooling system. NOW.That said, I'm off to find a job ( Read more... )

Oh I have the exact same problem in my home, I'm afraid! Some of these buildings simply cannot run central air for reasons beyond my comprehension.

Great. I've been here exactly two days and I already despair of living in this city.

Please tell me there's at least a place to get a decent parfait. I suddenly feel the need to down my sorrows in cherry-topped pudding and fruit.

It's quite enjoyable during the cooler months but I must say the summer is unbearable.

Parfait? Oh my yes! There's a lovely little ice cream parlor in the residential area that makes parfaits that are simply extravagant. Little family-owned business; can't recall the name but it's close to the library.

Excellent! I believe I'll have my new pack mule bring me there at once.

If you happen to be in the area at the time, I would of course enjoy making your acquaintance.

Sorry, but I haven't been able to get air in here since I moved in. May as well get used to the rustic side of things. All naturals never hurt anybody. If I can deal with it then so can you~!

If you want a chauffeur then don't look at me. I'm not carrying your ass to work.

My, and here I was thinking it was cooler for a change. I certainly hope that temperatures do not escalate once again, or I'm afraid you'll find the lack of air conditioning even less to your liking~

Cooler is as cooler does. It's sweltering inside without an air con, although I suppose the giant hole in the kitchen serves it's purpose of letting some air on in.

I can't fucking stand this kind of heat. I feel sorry for you, if you don't even have air conditioning. Must fucking suck.

Ah, might you be the roommate of the bad-tempered fellow who threatened to block the next person who complained about the heat?

I work in construction. I might be able to recommend someone who can install an air conditioner.

Mostly my family's made do with fans -- if you get a good air current going, the heat doesn't feel as bad. That and getting outside the city helps.

We do have a pretty decent air current coming through the giant hole in the kitchen. What kind of construction do you work in, and how much do you charge?

I'm a carpenter. And I can send along my rates, if you like. It depends on the job -- there's materials costs, plus permits, plus labour, so really I'd need to take a look.

Hm, yes... Carpenter, Mr. Carpenter -- no one could accuse you of not being a literal-minded man could they.

Perhaps you should stop by. I do warn you though, we're a bit "into the woods" as they say.
