[Zidane was just getting dressed in his room when he heard the "ding" from his Dreamberry. seeing it was a dream from Dagger, he of course was quick to look. already he could feel that sense of peace and happiness that seemed to just radiate from the dream.]

[and due to princess power being actually pretty damn strong, Zidane is sent crashing backwards, knocking his head against the side of his bed.

[Dagger scrambles to her feet and rushes over to him, kneeling down beside him.]

Oh Zidane, I'm sorry! Are you all right?

[hanginbyatail]

[slowly sitting up, a hand rubbing his throbbing head] Yeah...I'll be fine. [looks up at her] You all right?

[royalknife]

I'm fine... but here, you shouldn't get up just yet.

[She smooths her robe and guides him to rest his head on her lap.]

Just rest for a moment.

[...as still slightly flustered as he his, there is now way he'd complain about this. so with a small, growing smile, he lets her guide his head onto her lap so nice and soft and comfy...and offers a great view to boot]

[She smiles, and brushes back his hair gently.]

.... thought it seems I have caused you some distress this morning.

[just gives her a slightly flustered look. he's not sure how to approach this subject but there was only way to do it. so there's a small sigh]

...Your dream.

Y-You... saw that?

[small nod and holds up the Dreamberry before he lowers his arms again. when he looks up at her, he cracks a grin]

So girls really do dream about things like that, huh?

[She looks to the side, her look clearly embarrassed, before she answers.]

I... suppose so.

[this is really awkward, but he just smiles and reaches up to place a hand against her cheek]

Would you really wanna be with a guy like me?

Seriously?

[he shifts over a bit and sits up so that's across from her] It might not help your image, though. I'm a lowly, common thief after all.

[She shifts to a more comfortable position and folds her hands in her lap.]

I will not be deterred due to your status, and I do not believe the people of Alexandria will judge us.

[Now she looks down, not meeting his eyes.] Unless, of course, you aren't satisfied with me...

Heeeey. [puts an arm around her shoulder and pulls her to him] Don't even think about that.

[of course he wanted to be with her. he promised he'd come back to her right? and apparently he did, so he didn't have to worry about it.

...but there was one nagging problem in his mind. as much as he'd want to be with Dagger, he'd have to wonder what a life with Garnet would be like. after being a free roaming thief all his life...well political royal castle life wasn't exactly his style. he had never really thought that far ahead. mostly because it didn't really matter at the time.

at first glance, a life of luxury would be great! but when you look at all the responsibilities, plus the image it put on her...

...well snap. not exactly the best line of thinking right now, so he'll be shoving it off to the side later. instead he laughs]

I think the only one who wouldn't be satisfied of me would be Sir Rusty.
