It was good? I haven't really been following Atlantis, still I'm sad to hear its off the air.
I was disappointed with the SG-1 finale, to me, SG-1 ended with season 8's closer, "Moebius" where they go back in time to Egypt, and at the end they all finally end up going fishing at O'Neill's lake. I thought Star Trek TNG had a decent finale with All Good Things. I like how the final shot was with Picard finally joining the rest of the bridge crew at the poker table. DS9's finale felt too rushed, too much story to wrap-up. They could have used another half a season to wrap up everything after the end of the Dominion War. Finally, Enterprise's series finale was at best a mediocre episode of TNG.
I'm worried about how Battlestar is going to end. I know Moore won't wrap it up all nice and neat with a bow, then again, maybe as a final fuck you, he will, cuz thats his style.
I like it as well.hljeterJanuary 16 2009, 17:51:19 UTC
Good ending for Atlantis. All Good Things was great as well for TNG. The DS9 ending was horrible as well as Enterprise. Next Generation could have run for another 5 years but the Star Gate series has run its course. Shows that have potential but then fell off the path were Andromeda and Mutant X. Shows like Enterprise and Fire fly should have never been on the air. Vogager had its moments. Shows like the new Dr. Who need to be put to the death. Good Sci fi TV shows are getting harder and harder to find. Babylon 5 was one of the better shows but it should have stopped after year 5. I think Battle Star will end well but where do we go from here. Sanctuary looks promising but Sci fi usually put out one good show and 3 horrible ones to remind us they just do not get it.
I agree on TNG. I thought DS9 was presumptuous that there would be some sort of movie after it to do something with that ending. Voyager was way too rushed at the end. Enterprise had a bad ending, granting 2 ex-TNG starts WAY too much air time. The concept was good, but the story sucked. I have faith in Battlestar's ending.
