That was awsome. I'm going to have to make my boyfriend watch it. He just had to deal with the craptastical outsourced tech support of Dell about their horrible printers... that Dell doesn't even make.... blarg. Stupidness. And hilarity. Muah ha ha.
What's even worse though is the "live online chat support." A couple years ago I had to deal with them. Damn that was bad. Mostly pre-typed messages but then he ran out of those and had to start typing things like "Have you start the program twice?"
Hee hee hee. It's all just funny now. Until I have to deal with it again. :)
bwahahahahaha! that's excellent. reminds me of my dsl tech support. oh boy did someone have a red ass there when i ended up having the whole district manager personally call me and apologize. asshats.
When I was working at Interactive Edge, I had MCI inform me that some changes that they were making to their network required me to update the firmware on our cisco routers. And of course, myself not being the type of person who knows shit about IOS, botched it and lost all connectivity and then the config on the router. (fortunately, I had the sense of mind to make a backup of the firmware before overwriting it).
Anyway, I was on the phone with the guys at MCI and this dude from Cisco in Australia until 2AM. When we finally finished, he wouldn't let me hang up. He wanted to show me this cool thing and then that cool thing and tell me just how cool they are. And while I appreciated his enthusiasm, I had to break it to him that he "just had lunch, and I've missed the last train home, and have to be up in the morning here on the other side of the planet where it's really fucking dark, and everyone else is already asleep".
It took a few repeats of this before it finally sunk in aparently.
