ITT your interpretations of a character for critiquing and analyzing. Kinda like rp_advice_meme in reverse. Don't get too wanky- this'll only work if you play nice. ♥
Edit: Oops, meant this to be on the comm. Oh well.

I think the main thing that people forget is that he isn't all derp and fluff and idiocy. Remember that one time we saw into his mind with those special binoculars? He's actually a little manipulative! Though he's cute on the outside, he still knows how to get what he wants. Sometimes. I think.

South Italy is the ignored brother, shown historically in the Risorgimento (Unification) of Italy with the focus of the reforms being centered around Piedmont. He has a lot of pride but, back in the late 19th/earlier 20th century lacked the legs to support himself. His bark is far, far worse than his bite.
There's a large amount of jealousy towards the North because of this. The Unification was something that South, too, pushed for, and he wants to stand on par with his brother even if it means he has to pull him down to his level through berating him. There is definitely an air of manipulation about him but physically he's weak. He will take pride in things like the conquest of Libya and the few Italian wins of the First World War against Austria/Hungary, though in reality they're not that impressive.
Yeah, it is. People didn't quite... "get", what the interpretation meme was supposed to be. You were supposed to post your own interpretation of a character and have people analyze it, rather than posting the character and waiting for people to post their interpretations (as on the advice meme).
As the poster for the Tifa thread, I had something to say for her, but I couldn't (still can't, actually) think of a way to say it except as a rant, so I was kind of hoping if I posted it someone else would say something related to give me an idea of how to format mine more appropriately.

Oh well, it's still fairly interesting to read.
