He is endlessly fascinating to play - and next to impossible to be comfortable with, which is why I end up writing huge screeds like this instead of actually playing him.

Assuming you mean manga, he's driven and he's very smart. He knows what he wants and how to get there. If you're going for panfandom, don't be afraid to show his geek side, he's into science, he'll be interested in other worlds.

He's also a natural leader. If there's trouble he'll automatically step up, most of Roy's attraction comes from his personality, he's good at flattering people and his speech is formal without it being overdone. He only swears when shit is happening.

Also, even though you can probably make a case out of him being bisexual, he's digs women in canon.

Re: Shipping, he is completely owned by his subordinates. ALL OF THEM. He won't lose them and he won't die either. He'll fight for them and for himself until he literally can't anymore. But he's not gonna sex any of them.

There is, actually, a grey area concerning Riza Hawkeye, especially considering they go way back since before both of them are soldiers. Considering how the first anime (minus Shamballa) ends, as well as certain events in the manga, I think the possibility of them ending up romantically cannot be crossed out.
