Player: Ardweden (and others) | Game: A Number
ACen 2k5 has come and gone, and once again, there was roleplay art during and after. While the turnout isn't quite as huge as last year's, I think I can safely say that the quality is, on average, better. This is probably because I drew less.
Once again, there is a Moy commission! Last year featured me bugging my cousin, Phil, into drawing a Powerpuff Girls MC2 Picture. (I feel a little guilty about that now, since this year, he was telling me that he really doesn't want to keep drawing Powerpuff Girls all of the time.) This time, I pestered his brother, Jeff, who (for those of you keeping track) is also a professional comic book artist. He had a long run with Legionnaires, among other things.
Man, I'm jealous of my cousins' artsy skeelz. Uh, anyway. Jeff did a relatively quick Ben and Katherine sketch (Nic - still no eljay - and my SAB 2020 characters) for me for a very, very reasonable price. It can be found here: http://www.ardweden.com/art/benkat.gif
They're so cute! And evil! And not-teenagers-or-twenty-somethings! And Katherine stole Ben's tie! Ahem. Yes. It's also up at the SAB site and the Moy Sketchboard, which makes me think that random people are going to be clicking on it, seeing that it's from ACen, and wondering what the heck kind of anime *they* came from.

It features a lovely drawing by rowyn2001 of Harmony (kagami's FCS character) hiding in a box, and a bunch of art by me: a portrait of rdmgryphon, another of Dreol as a halfling (he has no eljay, either), an orange, laechim as a shark (with hair scribbled on by laechim himself!), and Xanithern, rowyn2001's FCS character. I got twenty-five cents for the Xanithern pic! Whoo!
Lucky for the rest of you, that's the end of the art *I* did. But there's other ACen art out there.
mads, once again, did an ACen group portrait. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be scanned yet, and I don't have a copy. What I do have is a lovely drawing he did during ACen of jexer's S3 character, Naiya. And that can be found here: http://www.ardweden.com/art/Naiya.gif
I got another commission, too. This one is of zegon's Koboldo character, Trotzvan the EVIL kobold cleric, eating a giant chocolate chip cookie. http://www.ardweden.com/art/trotz_cookie.jpg
The last two pieces are from post-ACen and by rowyn2001. The first is his aforementioned FCS character, Xanithern, being... um... himself. I think it's one of the best things he's ever drawn. http://www.ardweden.com/art/xanithern.gif
The second is a reference to a story Nic told us about how an NPC kobold in a DnD game he ran released unspeakable evil upon the world for all of the bacon he could eat. Well, who *doesn't* love kobolds blissed out on bacon? http://www.ardweden.com/art/kobold_bacon.gif

And that's all of the art for this time around! I know rdmgryphon and kagami both commissioned pieces from Phil, but we'll have to wait to see how those turn out.
