It says "Bell Pointe" in the center, so it probably is, yeah. That is awesome, though~

Well the town itself is called "Bell Pointe" but the community is hellpointe.

01. That's terrible. ;_; But, er, building character relationships with a person? ^^;

02. I LOVE THAT PICTURE. I mean... I'm sorry? xD;

03. No other mods?

04. Do I spy an Ichigo AND a Ghoulia~?

08. Dude, not even half of all anime is like that. Might just be what's popular among those types of folks. Also, she looks six to you? How?

I mean, there's a whole bunch of series that aren't like that. Try watching Doraemon or Pokemon or, heck, Useless Animals (Damekko Doubutsu). How about Haibane-Renmei, if you're looking for something a bit more serious that isn't more of a kid's show?

And the funny thing is, I'm actually a fan of a series that has a girl who is technically eighteen and actually looks six. All short and chubby and everything, but she isn't sexualized or a fanservice character, like, at all. xD; But, then again, she kind of predated this whole "moe" obsession.

Other suggestions: Chibi Maruko-Chan!

Super popular and utterly adorable. The art style isn't even what most people would think of when they think "anime." They look like silly kids' doodles. It's just a cute show about a little girl and her everyday life at home and at school and stuff.

Hee, pretty much. I've noticed even non-sexualized panty shots, which were kind of a cute kid thing back in Tezuka's time (think Shirley Temple), were avoided entirely in the new 2004 anime; perhaps in response to it now being seen as more of a sexual thing? It seems like they were doing their very best to avoid that.

Wasn't that the same thing that happened to Baby Doll in the Batman: The Animated Series? She was also a fully grown woman, but had some form of dwarfism that kept her looking perpetually like a little tot. It probably helps that she played a little girl on a TV show for years and reprised that role in a mad scheme.

Her first appearance had a frilly petticoat always poking out from under her skirt that was obviously meant to evoke that image, but her redesign never showed anything.

Do I sound like a creep yet for talking about this or even noticing these things? xD;Yeah, it's really more of a modern anime/manga thing, even if that isn't really the only place where it's found, like you said. I'm more of a fan of older ( ... )

Try talking to them again and see if there was a misunderstanding that can be corrected. If that doesn't work go to another mod. If there is no other mod or the other mod is unresponsive, quit. You don't have to stay. Vote with your fucking feet people it's not that hard.

08. A bit of a tangent, but when I was younger I thought that the other kids in my school and I were somehow "wrong" because many of the kids in tv shows, especially the high school kids, looked so much older than we did. I honestly wondered if there was something wrong with us until I found out that most of the actors were in their 20s. So these types of things can happen in any medium, really.

Hehe, yeah, the general idea behind casting in most TV shows is cast adults: short ones are teens, tall ones are adults.

That's a pretty cute personal tale, though!

Except...that's the opposite problem. They looked older than they were portraying. In that particular anime stated above, she looks younger (much younger, in fact) than her actual age. Plus, I bet at 500 (as someone pointed out above) she knows exactly what wandering naked could mean.

It's creepy.

They're both creepy for different reasons. 30 year olds playing teenagers on 90210 in sexual situations was still creepy.
