I was reading some of the poems assigned this week and a few of them did not make any sense to me what-so-ever. Like, “A Supermarket in California.” I never would have guess the writer was simply talking about himself imagining what his favorite poets would be doing in the grocery store. Now, I understand the beginning of "Red Riding Hood" haha. When I read it I just couldn't figure out what the little stories at the beginning had to do with the main story. This might be a good poem for your analysis. Good luck!

I don't think anybody really understood "A Supermarket in California" it might of been the most complex poem I ever read.

"A Supermarket in California" might be about a man discovering his homosexuality, and him imagining himself "shopping" for his idols at the supermarket :P Of course, this is only after our class discussion kept going back to the poking pork.

I also definately better understood "Red Riding Hood" after our class discussion, although I am not sure why the author put the whole poem together like she did. I guess that is where creative license comes into play. I didn't like “A Supermarket in California.” when I first read it and then I disliked it even more when we went over it in class, that discussion went on way too long!
